Angel’s home-made-ish Christmas Cinnamon Rolls
(as featured in The Bell in the Box book!)
These simple and easy cinnamon rolls are not homemade, but they are made in my home! You would never know they weren’t made from scratch. They are prepared with lots of love and have become a tradition that we enjoy every year on Christmas Eve. Many have eaten them and many have taken them on as their own for their families as well.
Ingredients
1 package of 12 Rhodes frozen Cinnamon rolls
1 cup of Vanilla ice cream
1 cup of brown sugar
1 stick of butter
1/2 cup crushed pecans
Directions
I use a 9 x 13 pan for the 12 rolls. Take rolls out the night before. Grease your pan. Add rolls, cover with a kitchen towel and allow to rise overnight.
The next day your rolls should have doubled in size. Melt butter in a pan on stove. Add in ice cream and brown sugar. Stir and bring to a boil. Mix well. Once melted and mixed well pour it over your cinnamon rolls. Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes. Oven times vary so watch them. Once center is done, they are ready! Once you remove them from the oven, immediately add icing packs and spread over cinnamon rolls. Add crushed pecans if you like. Cut, serve and ENJOY!
